In Östra Göinge municipality, we have a shared Staffing Unit for the municipality's activities, where our main task is to staff short-term absences.

I started working as a substitute at the staffing unit during my education. It was a good way to work a little with what I was training in. I also thought it might be difficult to get a job right after my education without contacts or experience. By working at the staffing unit, I get the chance to show myself, make contacts, and gain experience. I get the opportunity to see many different activities, which is very fun and educational.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We at the Staffing Unit are looking for unqualified teachers who can step in at short notice and support our primary schools as needed. Östra Göinge's schools have the following prioritized areas: Reading, Future Dreams, and Safe and Secure School. As an unqualified teacher, you will be an important part of this work. You will have a unique opportunity to:

• Lead teaching and inspire students in specific subjects for grades 7-9 or in various subjects for grades F-6.
• Standing in front of a class is not just something you are comfortable with; it is something you strive for!
• Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and educational school environment
• At the same time, gather valuable experience within the school world

Our schools that you will cover as an unqualified teacher include:

• Glimåkraskolan in Glimåkra is a school for grades F-6. The schoolyard is large with many green areas and close to nature and forest.
• Prästavångsskolan F-3 has about 210 students, and Prästavångsskolan 4-6 has about 170 students. Both schools are centrally located in Broby within walking distance to the bus station.
• Göingeskolan is a grades 7-9 school with about 250 students located centrally in Broby.
• Snapphaneskolan in Knislinge is a grades 4-9 school with about 420 students. The school is located in Skåne's green heart and has an appealing outdoor environment that invites many activities.
• Kviingeskolan in Hanaskog is a school for grades F-6. The school is centrally located in the small village with good bus connections.
• Västerskolan in Knislinge is a grades F-3 school with about 225 students. The lovely outdoor environment is actively used in both the school's and the after-school program's activities.
• Vita skolan is a small adapted school in Knislinge where teaching takes place in smaller groups.

Regardless of which school you work in, you are responsible for how much you want to work by making yourself available in our booking system Medvind. You are expected to be available for at least 16 hours per month.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying must be at least 18 years old, have a complete upper secondary education or equivalent, preferably in child and leisure. Adult education or vocational training is considered equivalent to upper secondary education and/or relevant work experience after individual assessment.

It is meritorious if you:

• are studying in a teacher program
• have relevant experience of working in schools.

You will gain insight into many of the municipality's activities, and this insight needs to be treated with respect and humility. It is also important that you share our values and see your role as a support/helping hand to the municipality's activities in their work to make our customers satisfied and proud.

To thrive with us, you must be able to take your own initiatives in your temporary workplace, be attentive, pedagogical, and flexible. This role is for you who naturally take on a leadership role and want to make a difference in the everyday lives of children and young people. You are engaged and responsible with a genuine interest in school and learning. In your role as a substitute, you are expected to be able to work in all our schools in the municipality. You need to master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. You are also used to using the computer as a tool in your work. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to your own car.

To be employed, you must present a criminal record extract from the police since our activities take place within Östra Göinge municipality's schools.
